CONGRESS SKIPS WORK AS CHAOS EXPLODES!
The 119th Congress has racked up about 16 breaks from Capitol Hill even as crisis piled up — a record-long 43-day shutdown, a war with Iran, airport chaos and DHS partly shuttered. The House stayed largely off the floor while Speaker Mike Johnson stretched district work periods; the Senate kept ducking in and out for votes and shutdown talks, with Democrats blasting the absenteeism and Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz demanding the chamber come back and do its job.
