Car Plows Into 10 Philadelphia Eagles Fans Celebrating Victory
A crowd of people celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory in the city was struck by a car on Sunday night.
A vehicle plowed into a crowd in downtown Philadelphia on Sunday night during a massive gathering to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory and trip to the Super Bowl.
At least three people were seriously injured in the wreck, though many more were struck by the car, according to video obtained by local NBC affiliate WCAU.
The driver of the vehicle was detained almost immediately, Philadelphia police said in a social media post. Cops said the crash “does not appear intentional at this time.”
“Everybody dancing, getting along,” one witness told WCAU. “Next thing you know a car coming down and it’s speeding and it hit 10 people.”
