I’m writing a new post since the last one got so messy. In fact, I’ve had to edit this post twice already, less than an hour after I first posted it. Never done that before, I think.

First things first, neither the Air Force nor CENTCOM has made an official announcement, but there are now multiple fairly credible reports that the Weapons System Officer from the F-15 shot down in Iran has been recovered. His condition is unknown, although several reports say he is “safe,” implying that he is alive and not mortally wounded.

BREAKING: “WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History.”President Trump announces an American service member has been rescued from Iran, says the… pic.twitter.com/BQnXYU6LaQ

Al Jazeera is the first “mainstream” outlet reporting this news as fact, and their report cites unnamed US government officials, and not much else.

In a jaw-dropping, high-stakes mission straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster, U.S. Special Forces have successfully rescued the Weapons Systems Officer from the F-15 shot down deep inside hostile Iranian territory after a harrowing 24-36 hour chase marked by brutal firefights and close calls. Despite no official word from the Air Force or CENTCOM, multiple credible sources and President Trump himself have confirmed this jaw-dropping triumph of American grit and training, with the downed airman evading capture by using expert survival skills while U.S. rescue teams battled deadly IRGC and Basij forces to extract him and the pilot safely. The daring operation saw airstrikes, injured rescue crews, and the crashing of an A-10 Warthog providing cover, all culminating in a nail-biting escape that ended with the entire team out of Iran alive—providing a rare win amid mounting tensions and proving America’s “never leave a man behind” creed remains ironclad.
