A secretive anti-terror court created nearly 30 years ago is finally getting its first test — and the stakes are explosive. The Justice Department will ask the Alien Terrorist Removal Court on Thursday to deport Nazira Haji Zada, a lawful permanent resident accused of supporting ISIS, using classified evidence in a case tied to her son and son-in-law’s failed plot against the 2024 election. Never before used since Congress created it in 1996, the court now sits at the center of a high-drama fight over terror, deportation, and what the government says is a family network bent on mass-casualty violence.
