Gunmen described by residents as “Fulani terrorists” stormed Mbwelle village near Bokkos in Nigeria’s Plateau state Thursday night, leaving at least 20 Christians dead in a fresh bloodbath that ripped through one community in minutes, residents said. One local said seven of the dead were from his own family, while others remain missing and one victim was badly wounded, underscoring the deadly reach of the violence now gripping central Nigeria.
