Carnival Cruise Line has been hit with a $300,000 Florida jury verdict after a Sacramento woman said crewmembers on the Carnival Radiance served her 14 tequila shots before she plunged down a stairwell and was hurt. Diana Sanders, a nurse from Vacaville, sued over the January 2024 incident, calling it more than an overservice case and pointing to what she says were systemic safety failures. The ruling puts a hard price on cruise ship alcohol service — and a warning shot to operators who are supposed to keep passengers safe, even at sea.
