UK SHUTS OUT SCRIPTURE DEFENDER RÄSÄNEN AGAIN
Finnish MP Päivi Räsänen has been blocked again from entering the United Kingdom after her “hate speech” conviction for defending biblical marriage, according to Alliance Defending Freedom CEO Kristen Waggoner, who said the doctor, grandmother and devout Christian was invited to speak at a religious liberty conference in Northern Ireland. The move lands as another flashpoint in the widening fight over free speech and faith, with Waggoner blasting Finland’s Supreme Court ruling as “outrageous” and saying it drew criticism from human rights experts, free speech advocates and the U.S. State Department.
