NJ YIELDS TO DHS: 35,000 NONCITIZEN VOTER ROLLS?
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin says New Jersey has agreed to work with DHS to hunt down possible noncitizens on the state’s voter rolls — after federal officials flagged 35,000 names in a sweeping review that could grow as it continues. The move marks a sharp turn in the clash over election data, after New Jersey had resisted Justice Department demands for voter information. DHS says it wants the state to verify the matches and lock down election security; Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s office did not respond.
