Hakeem Jeffries—remain silent as their party’s radical fringe embraces open antisemitism under the guise of “social justice.” The stunning refusal to condemn Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani’s endorsement of violent slogans like “globalize the intifada”—understood as a call for global violence against Jews—exposes just how deeply anti-Israel extremism has embedded itself within the Democratic Party. While courageous Jewish leaders outside New York like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and former Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel heroically speak out, New York’s Democratic elite cower in fear of their party’s socialist base. Mamdani’s support for the anti-Israel BDS movement, his past praise for Hamas-linked extremists, and his vile claim that Israel is committing “genocide” are met with silence—all while NYC, home to more Jews than any city on Earth, teeters on the edge of electing a pro-terror mayor. Festival of St. Nichiren's Pardon
At the Botamochi Temple in Kamakura, Japan, this festival honors St. Nichiren (1222-1282), considered to be Japan's most fervent Buddhist priest. He was exiled to the island of Sado in the Sea of Japan in 1271. After four years there, he returned and spent the rest of his life on Mount Minobu. The Festival of Nichiren's Pardon is observed by members of the Nichiren sect with massive demonstrations and the loud chanting of prayers attributed to Nichiren, accompanied by the beating of drums.
