CEUTA BEACH TURNED MIGRANT SLUM

Ceuta’s postcard-perfect beach has been transformed into a sprawling migrant encampment after more than 70,000 Moroccans surged in at the end of July, leaving thousands stranded and turning sand into a shanty town of cardboard, blankets, tents and garbage. What was once a Mediterranean escape now looks like a filthy, desperate slum — and the backlash is growing fast, with anger over the scene aimed not just at the migrants, but at the policies and courts that made the chaos harder to stop.
